Arashi and Aeryn are in the gym sitting on the bleachers talking about the club festival.
“What do you mean the festival might be canceled?” Yelled Aeryn.
“Well, supposedly the festival funds are non-existent. Also none of our teachers want to stay at school to help with the fundraisers or to sponsor the club booths. I’m sorry but that’s what I was told.” Said Arashi smiling. “Besides even if there were funds none of the students I know want to waste their money on the booths any way!”
“Well, I’ll go talk to the teachers I’m sure your wrong!” sighed Aeryn.
“Ok, fine…go see for yourself it’s not my fault that this school sucks!” Arashi stated under his breath.
Aeryn stood up and walked to the office from the gym. She normally stayed after to help out with the athletics club. While walking she began to think. ‘Why is it that the upper classmen get to make most of the decisions? I mean it shouldn’t be up to them…the younger students should be able to make their own decisions! After all this is high school! I’m going to complain to the principal about the festival and the lack of responsibilities for the younger classes.’ She soon arrived at the office.
“Hey Aeryn what’s up? Asked a young girl on the couch in the office.
“Nothing much. What did you do this time Brenda? Another prank on one of your teachers?” Asked Aeryn walking over to sit on the couch.
“Well, actually I talked back to my PE teacher…He wanted me to do forty push-ups! And when I told him I couldn’t do that much he sent me here. All I did was told him that it was too much for me to do!” Brenda said pretending to be sad.
“Sounds like you had a fun day! Oh, while I’m thinking about it, did you here anything about the festival?” inquired Aeryn worriedly.
“Yeah, apparently there isn’t going to be one, some one stole the funds and its too late to hold a fundraiser. But its ok, the teachers are going to use a little bit of their money to hold some sort of spirit week. Sounds fun doesn’t it? Brenda asked excited.
“Oh, sounds…kind of boring. Well, I have to lodge a complaint any way, so I’ll talk to you later. Bye.” Aeryn said walking to the main desk.
“How can I help you today Miss Siannodel?” asked the receptionist.
“I’m hoping to talk to the principal, I don’t agree with the fact that the festival is canceled. I’m hoping to be able to convince him to change his mind.”
“Well, unfortunately there was a break in two days ago and the money was gone and there were no clues as to whom and how they got in. I’m afraid that you wouldn’t of been able to talk to the principal any way, he’s been sick for about a week, and no one can get a hold of him!”
“Oh, ok. I guess that’s my answer…By any chance do you know if the English hall is open?”
“Well, I believe so, yes. If it isn’t the custodian will let you in. Have a nice afternoon.”
“You too. Bye” Aeryn walked away and headed towards the English hall. When she arrive she noticed that one of the rooms were open. She walked in the door and questioned if any one was present. “Hello, any one in here?”
“I am, sorry if you need the room, but the library is closed after school now.” Said an upper classmen in the corner.
“Oh, I’m sorry to intrude on your studies Aqueous. I didn’t know you even studied.” Said Aeryn walking over the table he was sitting at.
“Only when I have a major test. What about you don’t you study?” He asked while moving his books from the chair next to him.
“Nope! Never have never will. I’m too lazy. I think I’ve only ever studied once. But that’s not what I’m here for…have you seen the book about another world…I had it the other day it was the subject that my club was doing and now I can’t find it! Have you seen it?”
“I thought you let Arashi borrow it he was reading it in class earlier today. If you want I’ll get it from him Monday.”
“Nah, I’ll get my self I know where he is and he is so dead… that’s stealing!” yelled Aeryn running out of the room.
As Aeryn ran down the hall she noticed that all of the faculty had left, when she looked at her watch she realized that it was already four pm. ‘Oh, man…I’m going to be in a lot of trouble if I’m not home before five.’ While running back to the gym she noticed that there was still some students at the school. She could name them all but was too worried about her book She was so worried about her book that she wasn’t even paying attention to where she was going, she ran right into Hakumei.
“Aeryn why don’t you watch where your going? You ran right into me!” Yelled Hakumei.
“I’m sorry Hakumei, I didn’t mean to, Arashi has my book…the one for my booth. I need to get it back!
“Call me Haku, you mean that book about the weird planet? Oh yeah I saw him heading towards the science lab with it!”
“Your joking right? It’s not his book and he took it? Oh, when I get my hands on Arashi…He’ll be hurting for months! I’ll talk to you later, bye Haku!” Aeryn said while running for the science hall.
On her way to the Science hall Aeryn ran into Aqueous again. “Oh, hello again…I was told that Arashi was headed towards the science hall and that’s why I’m here, did you see him? Please say you did!”
“Yes, actually I did…room 207 he went in there with one of his friends I believe his name was Luda…he’s one of the athletes. I hope that helps.” Said Aqueous.
“It did! Thank you, bye.” Aeryn said while running for room 207.
On her way Aeryn thought of why Arashi would want the book ‘There were only some old languages and a few accurate descriptions in it. Why would an upper classmen want the book, its not all that truthful, it contains very little!’ When she finally arrived she knocked on the door.
“Arashi? Are you in there? I want my book back! Please give it back! Hello? Arashi? Luda?” Aeryn questioned while opening the door. But, when she arrived inside the science lad she could only find a large black hole that seemed to get larger by the second. Soon it was as big as the room its self. Aeryn tried to run but was being sucked into the black hole.
“Ahhhhhhh! Some one help meeeee…” Aeryn was sucked into the hole and no one heard her.
